María José Pons (born in Sabadell, 8 August 1984) is a Spanish football goalkeeper currently playing for RCD Espanyol. She previously played for CE Sabadell (1999–2003), FC Barcelona (2003–05) and Levante UD (2005–09), with which she has won one League and one Cup.[1] She was a key player at the league success, conceding nine goals in 25 matches.[2] She had previously won the 2003 Cup with CE Sabadell.
She is a member of the Spanish national team,[3] where she is a substitute to Athletic Bilbao's Ainhoa Tirapu as of the end of the UEFA Euro 2009 qualifying stage.[4]
