Marcel Rosenberg Nationality Soviet Occupation Diplomat Title Soviet ambassador to Spain Term 1936 – 1937 Political party Communist Party of the Soviet Union Marcel Rosenberg (1896—1937) was a Soviet diplomat. The first Soviet ambassador to Spain, he served during the Spanish Civil War.
Recalled to the Soviet Union, he was executed during the Great Purge in 1937.
