Maravanthuruthu

Maravanthuruthu is a small village located in the Kottayam district of Kerala India.

Background

“Thuruthu” means island. Village is surrounded by the river Murinjapuzha and is connected to the neighboring villages Thalayolaparambu, Enadi by newly constructed bridges.

Maravanthuruthu forms part of the Vaikom Taluk and is one of the Grama Panchayats of the Taluk. Mara means veda,Thuruth means Island.
