Manuel Mateus Ventura (born in Fortaleza, Ceará) is a Brazilian biophysicist. He is professor emeritus at University of Brasilia.[1][2] His research activity has been focused on physicochemical aspects and structure of proteins. Ventura is member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, Brazilian Order of Scientific Merit (Great Cross),[3] and recipient of the Anisio Teixeira Prize from the Ministry of Education and Sports.
