Mange Thapni is a festival celebrated in the Indian state, Goa. The people of Goa have an ancient belief that crocodiles are the top predators in some coastal food chains.Hence, it is believed that crocodiles help to maintain the aquatic ecosystem.Therefore,they are worshipped as mentors of the sea.
