Amersham & Wycombe College

Amersham and Wycombe College is a college in Buckinghamshire, England, with campuses in Amersham, Chesham and High Wycombe. Notably, the High Wycombe campus is actually based in neighbouring village Flackwell Heath. There is also a small business unit in the industrial estate of Cressex in High Wycombe, which primarily houses ICT Courses, ESOL (English as foreign language) and NVQ course coordination. As of 2005, it has over 2,000 full-time students and over 6,000 part-time. Famous alumni include Zoë Ball.
Amersham and Wycombe College has had various awards and accreditations including the following:
* Beacon Award for ESOL
* Centre of Vocational Excellence status for Construction & Building Services; Digital Arts, Design and Media; and ICT Applications

SHAM Records

SHAM Records is the record company created by the students and staff of the college. It's aim is quite obvious, to help promote the music performed by the college.
There is already one album out; 'Head Bangers & Mash' which includes several genres of music including indie, house and hip hop. All music on the album is from staff and students of the College, and even ex-students who have launched into the music industry. The songs were all written, performed and produced by people within the college, and recording on the equipment available in the Amersham Campus. The Album can be brought for £4.99 from Amersham & Wycombe College and selected record shops, including: The Record Shop, Amersham; Polar Bear, Oxford; and Record House, Aylesbury.A second album is expected soon.

Football Scheme

Amersham and Wycombe College has teamed up with two football teams; Wycombe Wanderers and Chesham United, in order to help their talented footballers make progress in their possible sporting careers.This scheme runs on academic study of the sport as well as training.The hopes of this program is to give the students an idea of what a trainee footballer may live like and help them pursue dreams of becoming a footballer.
These students will spend 9 - 12 hours is a week, with experienced coaches, training on excellent facilities. They will also have the chance to compete in four competitions:
* English Colleges Football League (ECFA) South division
* Wycombe Wanderers FC and Chesham United FC Football Conference Youth League (PASE)
* English Schools Football Association (ESFA) National Colleges Trophy
* F.A. Youth Cup
