383 teams participated in the 2009 edition of the Standard bank FAM Cup. In the final Tigers FC beat Civil Service United with 5-4 after penalty shoot-out. The score was 0-0 after 120 minutes. It was the third time that Standard bank was the sponsor of the tournament. In 2007 it was won by Silver Strikers, while the winner of the 2008 edition was Moyale Barracks.
