Mainline DHT

Mainline DHT is a system used by BitTorrent clients to find peers and seeds via the BitTorrent protocol. The idea was first used in Vuze, and known as DHT, then BitTorrent (software) made their own version named Mainline DHT. The "Mainline" part signifies that it is part of the official BitTorrent Protocol which is developed by BitTorrent, Inc. It is based on Kademlia and was first included in version 4.2.0 of BitTorrent (software).
