Skarphéðinsson (born 1982) is an Icelandic visual artist and musician. He performs under the stage name Magnoose. His previous stage name Mongoose was used both in solo work and as part of the duo Mr. Silla & Mongoose. Under the name Magnoose he has released one solo album and performed at various art events, both as a musician and an artist. The album VHS was released in 2009 as an internet release only originally through the webstore Gogoyoko. It was also privately released by the artist in a special edition of 50 copies on VHS videotape with a music video to each song.
The duet Mr. Silla & Mongoose, created along with Sigurlaug Gísladóttir, released the album Foxbite in late 2007. In a follow up for the album they played a two week European tour along with Icelandic bands Múm and Seabear. Together they have performed at Iceland Airwaves festival three times.
Currently a part of the duo Quadruplos along with fellow visual artist and musician Tomio Newmilk. Their debut eponymous album was released in April 2010 on the Icelandic Brak Recordings.
Magnús graduated from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2008.
