Gordon Smith (born 3 July 1954) is a retired professional footballer who played as a defender. He was born in Partick, Scotland.[1]
He made over 100 league appearances for St Johnstone and during his time there he gained 4 Scottish under-23 caps.[2]
In 1976 he transferred to Aston Villa in the Football League, and appeared for them in the 2nd replay of the 1977 Football League Cup Final.
He later played for Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers before moving to play in the USA.[1]
