Quotations
Flinchum believes and has stated, “The world today is so full of visual noise and clutter that, more than ever before, it is important to apply restraint as an important principle of design — to dispose of any capricious element that does not serve a strategic or artful expression of the brand. Because of technology and new channels of communication, consumers are far more media- and marketing-savvy; they understand and want excellence and sophistication in the design of their products and advertising. There is no such thing as a visually unsophisticated “B-level” consumer, and no need therefore to design for one. Successful brands recognize this, and keep their messages consistent, simple and clear, all while remaining distinctive and true to their values.”
