Duyvis Point

Duyvis Point (65°55′S 64°35′W / 65.917°S 64.583°W / -65.917; -64.583) is a point on the east side of Barilari Bay 11 nautical miles (20 km) south-southeast of Cape Garcia, on the west coast of Graham Land. First roughly charted by the British Graham Land Expedition (BGLE) under Rymill, 1934-37. Mapped more accurately by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) from photos taken by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. in 1956-57. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for F. Donker Duyvis, Dutch documentalist, Secretary of the International Federation for Documentation.
