Stanford University , Jacobsen was the 22nd overall pick in the2002 NBA Draft , selected by thePhoenix Suns . He was later traded to theNew Orleans Hornets in exchange for Jim Jackson. Jacobsen has averaged 5.9 points per game through his career and is known as a player with exceptional range on his shot, out to beyond the NBA three-point line. His usual positions areshooting guard andsmall forward .After playing for the TAU Vitoria of the Spanish ACB during the 2005-06 season, he signed a non-guaranteed contract with Houston, played in just four pre-season games and then was released before the 2006-07 season began.
