Dunes Beach is a beach located one mile north of Half Moon Bay on Young Avenue off State Route 1, USA. Operated by California State Department of Parks and Recreation under the San Mateo Coast Sector Office.

Characteristics

  • Part of Half Moon Bay State Beach.
  • No fireworks, no fires, no dogs or overnight camping.
  • Gates close at sunset all year around.
  • Has hiking, biking, and horse trails.
  • Considered a self-registered fee area, although there is a kiosk which is staffed during summer months.
