DBS maintains a Quality Management System applicable to Classification of Ships and Vessels / Statutory Marine Certification Services. The System has been assessed and registered by NQA against the provisions of BS EN 9001:2008.Contents
Authorisations
Dromon Bureau of Shipping is authorized by the below-mentioned Flag Administrations to act on their behalf to conduct surveys and issue certificates in accordance with the International Maritime Organization Resolution A.739(18) and International Conventions, Codes as well as National Requirements pertaining to ship safety and the prevention of marine pollution:

Maritime Transport Department of Georgia was created in 1992 by the President's Degree. The department was under the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Georgia. Since 2002 the department was reformed as Independent National Maritime Regulatory Authority and it is now a Legal Entity of Public Law and is now under direct supervision of the President of Georgia. At present, MARAD was transformed to parts of United Transport Administration -Maritime Transport Department and subordinated to Ministry of Economics and Development.
