As Global CIO, Menon provides IT leadership for all businesses of Bharti Enterprises, including retail (with Walmart), financial services (with AXA), manufacturing and distribution (Bharti Teletech), agriculture (with Delmonte), software (Comviva), tower infrastructure (Infratel, Indus), learning and resourcing (Centum) and the Bharti Foundation. He is involved in establishing group IT architecture and security standards and develop appropriate partner governance mechanism.[citation needed]
He has developed outcome-oriented S1 outsourcing IT models[1] for Bharti Airtel, an innovation that is now being adopted by several other players in the industry. He has been one of the global pioneers of outcome-oriented IT outsourcing models and has executed these models successfully over the past several years across multiple partners and industries.

Early career
Menon started his career at IBM’s T.J. Watson Research Labs, USA and became an IBM executive, he was executive Director in IBM’s Software Group heading worldwide research-to-market business for rich media. He then joined AT&T (formerly BellSouth) as the Chief Technology Officer (eCTO) for IT across all lines of businesses. He was subsequently appointed as Corporate Officer and Executive Vice President in Marketing where he managed a portfolio of growth businesses and strategic alliances.[2]
