K. Puttaraju

Dr. K Puttaraju, an M.A. in Communication and Journalism, hails from the rural hinterland of K R Pete in Mandya District of Karnataka state India. The present chairman and HoD of Bangalore University Department of Communication, he has acted as guide for Madhukar . G. Appaji for his thesis on Advertising, Media and Development - A Case Study of the Role of Adverstsing on Development in Karnataka State^[1] A much controversial figure, he took on the might of the government of Karnataka single handedly for its intervention in appointing of new registrars in late 2009 ^[2]
