Eric Wallace is an entrepreneur and ordained minister.

Personal

Wallace was born in Chicago, IL, to Joan Scott (daughter of renowned artist William Edouard Scott) and John Wallace. He lived on Chicago’s south side until the third grade when his family moved to Wilmette, IL. He later earned an M.A. from Alliance Theological Seminary, a Th.M. and PhD from Union Theological Seminary & Presbyterian School of Christian Education (Union-PSCE). Wallace holds the distinction of being the first African American to earn a PhD in Biblical studies from Union-PSCE. He is an ordained minister and has served as a Pastor, Youth Minister, Children’s Minister, and Christian Education consultant. He has served locally as an associate minister at the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago, as well as Victory Apostolic Church in Matteson where he currently serves. Wallace also served as an Army officer in the Maryland National Guard, and as an Adjunct Professor at North Park University and Elmhurst College.[citation needed]

Entrepreneur

Wallace has owned a number of businesses from a publishing company to a dance studio. He was President and CEO of Wallace Publishing and Computer Graphics.[1] He now serves as the President and CEO of Wallace Multimedia Group, LLC, which is the parent company to Freedom's Journal Magazine and Integrity Books.

Community service

Since 2004, Wallace has served on the African American Advisory Board for the Republican National Committee, and is the former Chairman of the African American Republican Council of Illinois.[citation needed] He currently serves as a member of the Outreach Advisory Board for the Illinois GOP, Co-chairman of Cook County Republican Party, Vice President of the Rich Township Republicans, a commissioner on the Illinois Transatlantic Slave Trade Commission and a member of the Village of Matteson zoning and planning Commission.[2]
