Carlo M. Croce

Carlo M. Croce is an Italian Medical Doctor and oncologist noted for research into the genetic mechanisms of cancer. Croce received the 2006 Clowes Memorial Award from the American Association for Cancer Research for his discoveries of the molecular mechanisms of Leukemia.[1] In 2010, he was elected a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.[2]

In 2010, Croce became director of The John W. Wolfe Chair for the Human Cancer Genetics Program at Ohio State University.[3]

Early life

Croce was born on December 17, 1944 in Milan, Italy to housewife and mechanical engineer. At age 2, Croce moved to Rome. In 1963 Croce enters the school of medicine of La Sapienza University of Rome and graduated in 1969 with "summa cum laude" in medicine and latin. In his late 20's, Croce moves to Philadelphia to work at Temple University

Personal Life

Dr. Croce has two children, one born in 1979 and the other in 1997.
