Douglas Laing & Co is a Glasgow-based independent bottler and blender of Scotch whisky. The company was founded in 1948 by Fred Douglas Laing, and it has remained in Laing family control ever since. Today the company is run by brothers Fred and Stewart Laing.
In 1990, Douglas Laing & Co’s sister company, Douglas McGibbon, was awarded the Queen's Award for Export Achievement. The award was based on the increase in overseas sales of the McGibbon’s Golf Range between 1988 and 1990.

Old Malt Cask
Amongst Douglas Laing’s back catalogue of whiskies is the Old Malt Cask range which was launched in 1998. This includes single cask whiskies bottled at 50% abv (the company cite this as their preferred drinking strength). These whiskies are neither caramel-coloured nor chill-filtered, both processes are common practice when bottling whisky today.
Platinum Range
The Platinum range is a selection of malt whiskies bottled at natural cask strength. These are bottled in traditional style bottles and are individually numbered.
Provenance Range
The Provenance range is a selection of single malt whiskies from Scotland. Each bottle displays the season in which the whisky was distilled and bottled.
