- Douglas Valder Duff

Lt.-Commander Douglas Valder Duff DSC (b. Rosario de Santa Fe, Argentina, 1901; d. Dorchester, England, 23 September, 1978) was a British merchant seaman, police officer, and author of over 100 books, including memoirs and books for children.[1][2]
Douglas was the eldest son of Arthur Joseph Duff, then British Consul in Rosario, and Florence Valder.[1]
Duff was an inspector in the Palestine Police Force during the Western Wall controversy in 1928 and the subsequent 1929 Palestine riots.[3]
