Douglas N. "Doug" Kane is a former Illinois state representative who represented Springfield from 1974-1982,[1] and a current member of the Alma School Board.[2][3][4] Kane is an economist and President of Program Analysis Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in economic and public policy issues. One of his current clients is the Office of Management and Budget of the State of Illinois that sought his help with the economic effects of the gross receipts tax.[5][6] He currently resides in Alma, Wisconsin with his wife, Wisconsin State Senator Kathleen Vinehout and their son, Nathan.[7]
