Stephen J. Ceci is an American psychologist and professor of
psychology atCornell University . He studies the accuracy of children's courtroomtestimony as it applies to allegations ofphysical abuse ,sexual abuse , and neglect), and he is considered an expert in the development of intelligence andmemory .Education
Ceci received his B.A. in
1973 from theUniversity of Delaware , his M.A. in1975 from theUniversity of Pennsylvania and his Ph.D. in1978 from theUniversity of Exeter , England, where he studied with Michael Howe. He holds a lifetime endowed chair inchild development at Cornell.National Advisory Boards
