Khayanga Doreen Wasike[1] was the first East African to be crowned Miss Commonwealth Africa in Milton Keynes United Kingdom on 31 December 2010. She was born in Nairobi Kenya in December 1982 to her parents Rosemary Nafuna and Abiud Simiyu Wasike. She is an alumnus of Nairobi Primary school, Moi Girls high school Eldoret, Strathmore University and University of Greenwich in the UK [2] where she successfully completed her Msc in Information Management systems.
Khayanga is also keen on championing and promoting Eco-tourism, Luxury Cultural tourism and Greening initiatives in Africa using renewable Solar energy.
