Donnell Deeny

Sir Donnell Justin Patrick Deeny, QC, styled as The Hon Mr Justice Deeny is Chancery Judge in the High Court of Northern Ireland.

Background

Sir Donnell Deeny has been a High Court Judge since 2004 and was a barrister prior to that, being called to the bar in 1974 and taking silk in 1989. He has also served as High Sheriff of Belfast.^[1][2]

Affiliations

He is a past Chairman of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and current President of the Ulster Architectural Heritage Service.^[3] and serves on the Government's Spoliation Advisory Panel.

Education

Sir Donnell Deeny was educated at Clongowes Wood School, Trinity College, Dublin and Queen's University, Belfast.
