Donaciano Chanito Vargas

Government Representative (Mayor) of Altamira, Puerto Plata from 1966- 1968. He served as chief executive officer and/or ceremonial official of many types of municipalities. The mayor of a municipality in the Dominican Republic is called indistinctly alcalde or síndico. Such person is the governor of the municipality whose township elected him by direct vote for a term of four years.
