Doescher Nunatak

Doescher Nunatak (72°23′S 160°59′E / 72.383°S 160.983°E / -72.383; 160.983) is a somewhat isolated nunatak situated 13 nautical miles (24 km) north of Mount Weihaupt in the Outback Nunataks. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959-64. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Roger L. Doescher, glaciologist, McMurdo Station, 1967-68.
