Adam Zagajewski (b.
21 June 1945 inLwów ,Soviet Union (now Lviv,Ukraine )) is a Polish poet, novelist, and essayist.He had lived in
Paris since 1981. In 2002 he has moved toKraków . His poem "Try To Praise The Mutilated World ", printed inThe New Yorker , became famous after 9/11. He currently is a faculty member on theUniversity of Chicago 'sCommittee on Social Thought , and teaches two classes, one on fellow Polish poetCzeslaw Milosz .Bibliography (books in English translation)
