DPS is situted in the heart of city, it covers an area of 40 Acres and is the biggest school of Faisalabad in respect of its area. it is also the Oldest School of Faisalabad[1].

Brief History
The college was established as a high school in 1963 with makeshift arrangement in a neighboring rented house. It covers an area of 40 acres in the heart of the city with lofty building to house different sections separately.
The Campus
Divisional Public School and College is divided into four sections.
Junior Section
The fresheners are admitted to Junior Section during the month of February as per the advertisement published in the national News papers in detail. The Junior Section accommodates students from Classes Prep to Four. The college arranges the junior classes in two campus, the main campus and the GMA Campus to save the parents from slogging on pick and drop far away. The boys of both the Junior Section are promoted to Senior Section in Fifth class as groomed and bloomed for further higher studies to go ahead to SSC Exams with science subjects and English as Medium of instruction.
Girls Section
The girls of both the Junior Section after passing their Fourth are shifted to girls section. They remain in this section till they pass the SSC & F.Sc Exams. This section is facilitated with female staff both teaching and assisting.
The BOG has decided to upgrade Divisional Public School to the level College.
Mid Term
From April to September Mid Year Examination is held on during the month of September and 20% marks out of total obtained are calculated to be carried forward to annual exam.
Final Term
From October to March Final Year Examination ( Promotion Test) is held during the month of March to evaluate the students to be promoted to next class with a ratio of 80% + 20% from mid year exam. Pass percentage in all the exams and tests is based on 40% of the total marks. Monthly Assessment is carried out continuously over the year to find out the weak areas and deficiencies of the students. Special periods and Zero Periods are arranged as remedial work to make up shortcomings and to enhance curricula efficiency.
House System
The Whole School including Senior, junior and Girls Section is divided into four Houses. Jinnah, Tariq, Iqbal and Sir Syed. Competitions regarding Debates, Quiz and sports regularly held between Houses.

Excursion cum Study Tours
Various summer and spring tours are arranged in different areas of Pakistan.[2].
