South Australian Gridiron Association (1997-present)The State Hockey Centre, set in South Australia’s State Sports Park, is a field hockey stadium in Adelaide, South Australia and offers a world-class pitch used for both competition and training activities, complemented by full amenities. The stadium is home to Hockey SA, the peak body for hockey in South Australia and to both Adelaide based teams in the Australian Hockey League, the men's Southern Hotshots since 1991 and the women's Southern Suns since 1993. The stadium is also home to Forestville hockey club since 1994.
The FIH approved water-based playing surface, favourable year-round weather conditions and organisational expertise combine to make the facility a very popular venue for international visitors training in Adelaide.
The venue, also known by its original name of The Pines Stadium, has been home to South Australian Gridiron Association games since 1997.
