Diplock Glacier

Diplock Glacier (64°1′50″S 58°53′00″W / 64.03056°S 58.8833333°W / -64.03056; -58.8833333) is a narrow straight glacier, 10 miles (16 km) long, flowing eastward from Detroit Plateau, on Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land, into Prince Gustav Channel 5 miles (8 km) south of Alectoria Island. Mapped from surveys by Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) (1960–61). Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Bramah J. Diplock, British engineer who made considerable advances in the design of chain-track tractors (1885–1913).
