Dionysius Ó Mórdha, Bishop of Clonfert, died 1534.
A Petrus Ua Mórda was be Bishop of Clonfert on his death in 1171. The surname is nowadays rendered as Ó Mórdha and Moore.
Events which occurred during his lifetime included:
- 1504 - Battle of Knockdoe
- 1511. The greater part of the old works of the church of Armagh were burned.
- 1517. Thomas, the son of Ulicke, son of Ulick Burke, carried off a prey from Ormond, but was overtaken by a strong body of pursuers. The people and cavalry of Thomas were driven from the prey, and the prey was taken by the pursuers; and Thomas himself was slain, the most noble-deeded Englishman of his time, for it was by him that the Hy-Many had, some time before, been plundered and desolated.
- 1520. Mac William of Clanrickard (Ulick, the son of Ulick) died. Mac William Burke (Meyler, the son of Theobald) was slain by the son of Seoinin More, son of Mac Seoinin.
- 1526. Breasal O'Madden, Lord of Sil-Anmchadha, a kind, brave, mild, and justly-judging man, died.
- 1534. Manus Boy O'Duigennan was strangled in the night by his own wife.
