Diocese of the Advent

Diocese of the Advent is a Diocese the Anglican Orthodox Church and the result of the Traditional Protestent Episcopal Church being absorbed into the Anglican Orthodox Church in September 2011. Between approximately 2008-2009 schismatic’s in the TPEC, led by a recently consecrated Assisting Bishop believed the denomination should no longer affirm historic Anglican beliefs, but advocated a shift towards a hyper Calvinistic, anti sacramental, modern Bible translations, and Presbyterian church government agenda. Ecclesiastical chaos and withdrawals reduced the size of the denomination. In September, 2011, the Traditional Protestant Episcopal Church, and their Presiding Bishop-Charles Morley, sought to maintain the historic Anglican witness and was absorbed into the Anglican Orthodox Church to become the Diocese of the Advent in the Anglican Orthodox Church.
