Dino Orfanos, director of New York Martial Arts Academy since 1994, was the first Instructor recognized by the Bruce Lee Education Foundation in the Tri-State Area.
Dino Orfanos began his martial arts training in 1973 and has been teaching for more than 25 years. He spent 15 years in traditional martial arts and competed in martial art tournaments from 1976 to 1986 before taking up Jeet Kune Do. In 1997, he started the Jeet Kune Do program at New York Health and Racquet Club.
He is a Full Instructor in Jeet Kune Do under Chris Kent, an Instructor in Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do under Ted Wong, an Instructor in R. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu under Grandmaster Reylson Gracie, a Full Instructor in Kali, a Full Instructor in Jun Fan Gung Fu and an Instructor in Pencak Silat under the World Kali Silat Society.
