Dimitar Vitanov (Bulgarian: Димитър Витанов) (born June 10, 1989) is a Bulgarian football defender, who start his career in Botev Plovdiv[1] in the Bulgarian A PFG.

Football career

Born in Plovdiv, Vitanov was educated to football in Botev's youth academies. He made his official debut in the first team on 23 March 2008. Vitanov replaced Nikolay Manchev in the 74th minute in the A PFG away match against Beroe Stara Zagora (1-3 loss for Botev). He play for youth National team of Bulgaria.



During January 2009, Botev decided to loan Vitanov to Spartak Plovdiv to the end of the 2008-09 season. For Spartak he earned 3 appearances playing in the B PFG, before returned to Botev in June 2009. He left when the club went bankrupt in the early 2010, but returned in the summer of the same year when the club was revived. Now he playing in Cyprus.
