Richard Bruce "Dick" Yoder is a former Republican mayor of West Chester, Pennsylvania.[1] Yoder was born in West Chester and has lived there his whole life. He attended West Chester East High School and after his graduation he attended Villanova University. He also served in the Marine Corps for six years. After earning his degree, Yoder began his teaching career at West Chester University. While teaching, he also coached and served as an athletic administrator. He retired from teaching in 2000. In 2001 he ran for mayor and was reelected in 2005. After having reached the office's eight-year term limit, Yoder was replaced by incumbent mayor Carolyn Comitta in January 2010.[2]
