Diaphragmatic paradox

A diaphragmatic paradox is a sign on a respiratory examination when the diaphragm moves opposite of the normal direction on inspiration.^[1] Diaphragmatic paradox is associated with inspiratory muscles of afflicted people becoming weakened.^[2]
