Diaphera prima is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Diapheridae.[1]

The specific name prima is from the Latin language and it means "the first", because it is the first species of Diaphera confirmed from Thailand at the specific level.[1]

Distribution

The type loocality of Diaphera prima is Khao Cha Ang-Oan, Bor Thong, Chonburi Province, Thailand.[1]

Distribution of Diaphera prima include Eastern Thailand: Chonburi Province and Rayong Province.[1]

Desription

The shell of Diaphera prima is oblong. The shell has 7-8 whorls.[1] The sculpture of the shell is smooth with short ribbs bellow the suture.[1] The apex of the shell is obtuse and smooth.[1] The aperture is rounded with parietal lamella, basal lamella, columellar lamella and with two palatal lamellae.[1]

The width of the shell of the holotype is 2 mm.[1] The height of the shell of the holotype is 6.2 mm.[1]

The body of the animal is a pale greenish yellow in color.[1]
