Dhupkhali

Dhupkhali is a village in the Jessore district in Bangladesh, the primary industry in which is vegetables. Jessore produces 70% (Apx) of the total vegetables in Bangladesh, and Dhupkhali produces 10% of that amount.[1] A Haor called "Voger bil" is a famous place for local fish.

There is a primary school, one girls' madrasa and seven mosques in this village. More than 1500 people live in this village, most of whom are Muslim and a few Hindus. The primary industry is agriculture. The freedom fighter S M Babar was born here.

Arsenic issue:Installation of community-managed pumps and filtering systems; each plant to provide safe water for drinking and cooking purposes to approximately 1,250 people living in a severely arsenic-contaminated area in Jessore District, west Bangladesh, thus improving their health and opportunities.[2]
