Dhaka (Hindi: ढाका) is a small village located near Kingsway Camp in Delhi, India.
The village has around 500 houses and two chaupals. The village has a large structure called the Pathar Wali Kothi, originally constructed by a Muslim family before the partition of India.
The village is home to the Delhi University Quarters. The International Hostel for Girls opposite of Indira Vihar, which officially falls in the Mukherjee Nagar, is also located near Dhaka.
Much of the agricultural land in the village was acquired by the Delhi Development Authority for developing colonies for the post-partition migrants from what is now Pakistan. These colonies include Outram Line, Mukherjee Nagar, West Mukherjee Nagar, Bhai Parmanand Colony, Indira Vihar, Gandhi Vihar and Nehru Vihar. The Delhi University is located 1.5 km from Dhaka village. Other notable places near the village include Gandhi Ashram, Nirankari Sarovar, Batra Hall and the Naini Lake of Model Town.
The land on which Dhaka village is located was previously owned by the Syed family (currently living in Pakistan), before the partition of the sub continent. The family still owns the old radio station, the railway station and a palace there.
