Dennis Grainger (5 March 1920–1987) was an English professional footballer who played as a winger.

Career

Born in Barnsley, Grainger began his career with South Kirby, before turning professional with Southport in 1938. After World War II interrupted his career, he made his debut in the Football League for Leeds United in 1946. Grainger also played in the League for Wrexham and Oldham Athletic, making a total of 138 League appearances.[1] He later played in Wales with Bangor City.

Personal life

His brother Jack and cousins Colin and Edwin Holliday were also all professional footballers.[2]
