Dee Kaye is an accomplished classically trained dancer, who is also known for her comedic talents. She is the daughter of character actor Danny Klega.
Born Darine Klega, she was an original Los Angeles Rams cheerleader. She participated in the Miss California pageant, and has been seen on the fashion runways in Milan, Italy. Dee has appeared on The Tonight Show, the Academy Awards, The Star Wars Holiday Special, and most notably as a synchronized swimmer in The Brady Bunch Hour (with The Krofftettes), NBC's The Big Show, and The Great Muppet Caper. Dee also had a featured dancing role in the film version of Annie.
In the 2009 book Love to Love You Bradys, Dee discusses passing out after filming an underwater synchronized swimming sequence for The Brady Bunch Hour and being left behind unnoticed. She woke up to find herself locked in the sound stage and was not discovered there until the next day. Kaye also was injured on the same set when her finger was slammed in a dressing room door.
Dee has been seen onstage in theaters around the world — from the London Palladium to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. She has been doing improvisational comedy for over twenty years and has honed her skills working with comedy greats such as Milton Berle and Dick Shawn.
