Debra Teare (b. 1955) is an American artist and "One of the most successful trompe l’oeil painters today."[1] Before switching to oils, Teare spent the first portion of her career "large photorealistic drawings in black and white" charcoals.[2]
Teare studied fine art at Utah State University, began her career in New York City and currently resides in Providence, Utah. She belongs to the Allied Artists of America and was a founding member of the International Guild of Realism. She is married to artist Brad Teare.[3]
