• In the American Dad episode Family Affair, Roger the Alien buys an Ogbazghi jersey. He reveals that by telling the Smith family how he met the Johnson family: "Those people you saw me with - I met them a couple of weeks ago at a street fair in Little Eritrea. I was buying the jersey of my favorite Eritrean soccer player Debesai Ghierghis Ogbazghi when a family approached me. Mr. Johnson explained that Ogbazghi was also his son's favorite player.
