- Death of Masego Kgomo
-
On December 31, 2009, in South Africa, 11-year-old Masego Kgomo was murdered in order to sell some of her body parts to a Sangoma (a practitioner of Muti).[1] Five people have been charged with her kidnapping and murder.[2] Her father is a pastor at the St Michael's Apostolic Church in Soshanguve.[3] Her gruesome murder has sparked calls to practitioners of muti to end murdering children for their body parts.[4][5]
