Dawson Peak

Dawson Peak (83°50′S 162°33′E / 83.833°S 162.55°E / -83.833; 162.55) is a prominent ice-free peak, 2,070 m, 5 nautical miles (9 km) southwest of Mount Picciotto in the Queen Elizabeth Range. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after John A. Dawson, United States Antarctic Research Program (USARP) aurora scientist at South Pole Station, 1958.
