David de Brechin

David de Brechin

Sir David de Brechin (died 1320) was a Scottish knight during the reign of Robert I of Scotland.

He was tried for his involvement in a conspiracy against the king, along with William II de Soules, for which he was executed.

Although he may very well have been guilty, his execution surprised some people, as he was seen as a "flower of chivalry", having acquitted himself well in battle against the Saracens in the past.
