Dave Wirth (born November 27, 1954) is currently the lead sports anchor for the WTSP channel 10 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Career
Radio
Wirth's career began at WKAO radio in Daytona Beach, Florida. He then became a sports reporter and newscaster for WJNO in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Television
Wirth moved to television in 1981, working as the sports director for WPEC in West Palm Beach. He began working for WTSP in 1984 as the weekend sports anchor [1]. After 20 years of sports, Wirth moved to news and began anchoring the 4PM news show Life Around The Bay in 2004. [2] He anchored the newscast with Marty Matthews until the show's cancellation in 2009. Wirth then moved back to sports, becoming the station's lead sports anchor.
Wirth worked for SportsChannel Florida as the play-by-play announcer for University of South Florida men's basketball from 1991 to 2000. He also hosted Devil Rays Magazine from 1996 to 2002.
Personal
Dave grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1976. He is an avid golfer and resides in Tampa, FL with his wife. They have three children [3].
