Ashley Ruiz (born May 28, 1976 in Florida), is a singer who is a former member of Menudo. He is part Irish, part Cuban and Spaniard.

inging career

Ashley Ruiz became a member of the well known Puerto Rican boy band after a drugs and sexual abuse scandal had rocked Menudo during 1991.

Ruiz became a teen idol in Puerto Rico. Even as Menudo's international fame had already faded somewhat, the group maintained its fan core among Puerto Rican pre teen and teenager girls, so Ruiz became well known across the island. Apart from being a celebrity in Puerto Rico, Ashley Ruiz also toured the United States and the rest of Latin America extensively as a member of Menudo.

Ashley Ruiz recorded four CDs as a member of Menudo, including "Detras de tu Mirada" ("Behind Your Look"), "15 Años", ("15 Years", a 1992 recording where Ruiz and his bandmates sang some previous Menudo hits), "Imagínate" ("Imagine That"), and the Portuguese language recorded "Vem Pra Mim" ("Come to Me").

Ruiz left Menudo in 1996. During the 2000s, he joined the group Here II Here which was (formally Inner Voice), with whom he continues to write and perform.
