Sant Darshan Singh (14 September 1921–30 May 1989) was a guru in the Sant Mat lineage. He studied Sant-Mat under his spiritual guru Baba Sawan Singh, of Radha Soami Satsang Beas and his father Sant Kirpal Singh.
He emphasized finding spiritual fulfillment in the context of modern life. He believed in positive mysticism, pursuing spiritual goals while fulfilling all your obligations to family, society, and the world. He traveled to the West four times, in 1978, 1983, 1986, and 1988 to spread positive mysticism. In the process established 550 centers for Science of Spirituality in 40 countries. He helped people find peace, joy and harmony through meditation. His teachings were disseminated through lectures, seminars, books, and, especially, his mystic poetry. Known as the poet-saint of India, Sant Darshan Singh received four awards from the Urdu Academy of India for his mystic verse. He worked tirelessly to spread the message of his spiritual mentors throughout the world by publishing books translated into over 50 languages.
His son, Rajinder Singh, continued the work of Naam Initiation.
